Your obligations
Since 1 January 2016, all employers have been required to offer top-up health insurance to their employees (under French law 2013-504 of 14 June 2013). A group health insurance solution is a way of offering your employees the cover they need (with extended direct payment, negotiated tariffs for optical, dental and hearing care, digital services, etc.). You can choose between a variety of solutions to find the right one for your company’s needs.
Group protection insurance provides your employees and their families with enhanced cover if they are temporarily or permanently unable to work for health reasons, or if they die. It supplements the basic state cover by providing benefits, annuities or capital.
You should note that group protection insurance is not compulsory, other than for managers as required by your company’s collective agreement or by an industry-wide agreement, if one is in place.
