MMA covers all of France and is committed to supporting local regions and the people who live and work in these regions. Through its branch network and initiatives, it helps to develop the local economy and support regional services.

Fostering a strong local presence

MMA’s commitment to local regions is demonstrated by its efforts to ensure a close relationship with its policyholders. This is reflected by its strong local presence:

  • An extensive branch network: with 1,600 points of sale, MMA is present in local towns and rural areas. A total of more than 1,000 MMA agents and around 5,000 members of staff are on hand to help our customers(1). All here to help and offer their expertise, whatever their circumstances.

MMA covers all of France. Supporting local regions and the people who live and work in these regions is an essential part of what we do. Our agents span the breadth of the country, in both rural and urban areas. This local presence means that we are there for our customers and able to act quickly when needed.

Thierry Crahes, Executive Vice President Branch Network Development at MMA Assurances.
  • 100% French service guarantee: MMA has obtained Service France Garanti (SFG) certification for its commitment to providing 100% “made in France” services. All of MMA’s customer relations platforms are based in France.
  • Local presence in the event of a claim: 51 personal injury inspectors work across France as part of the Personal Injury department’s “Land Occupation Knowledge” programme, providing local support for injured parties and their families(2).

    Our policyholders are the best people to talk about the benefits of this close relationship. With its “Your history, your region” campaign, MMA lets its business customers have their say. Their stories and experiences highlight the relationship of trust between MMA agents and their customers.

Support for local entrepreneurs

With the MMA Future Entrepreneurs Foundation, MMA helps entrepreneurs to innovate and develop their business, thereby supporting the growth of the local economy. It has three main aims:

  • Working with business owners: the Foundation organises or helps with the organisation of regional workshops, in particular those that combine performance and wellbeing. In 2022, the Foundation was involved in 34 events across France(1).
  • Supporting research and innovation: the Foundation supports projects such as the Transmission Lab business incubator, which helps business owners understand the need to anticipate the future buyout of their company, and Labex Entreprendre, in particular with the publication of its Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report.
  • Analysing the business ecosystem: studies are carried out each year on topics such as executive health. The Foundation publishes its wide range of social and economic analysis on its website, in its newsletter and on social media, with a total of 150 publications in 2022 alone.

With the MMA Future Entrepreneurs Foundation, we help entrepreneurs all over France to innovate and develop their business. The Foundation organises dozens of regional events each year, such as roundtables and conferences on the many changes currently taking place or wellbeing for entrepreneurs. These events provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs to support each other and share their experiences.

Thierry Crahes, Executive Vice President Branch Network Development at MMA Assurances.

The MMA Future Entrepreneurs Foundation launched a number of initiatives to support local entrepreneurs in 2022, including:

  • Two studies on employment and skills in Sarthe;
  • Help with publishing the white paper on company buyouts;
  • Organisation of a number of regional events such as the Tournée de la Grande Relance economic stimulus tournament and the Innovation and International Development Tournament.

Everyday support for Le Mans on multiple levels

Proud of its Le Mans origins, MMA is invested in the city’s growth and prosperity. This is reflected by its support of several local initiatives, as well as employing over 3,300 people, representing 4.3% of the city’s working population(1).

  • FACE: MMA is a partner of Fondation Agir Contre l’Exclusion in Le Mans. This well-known foundation works in the public interest, supporting economic, social and cultural development in underprivileged areas of Sarthe.
  • Le Mans Tech: MMA is a founder member of this non-profit organisation, which helps to develop new forms of transportation and clean tech. MMA supported three projects in 2022 – Mécaminute, Memoracar and SMT Performances – and organised the fourth international X-Mobility conference at MMArena.

The wealth of support offered to French and international startups focusing on mobility makes the XMobility Challenge an unmissable opportunity. Along with other companies, we challenge these agile businesses to meet the expectations of their future partners and customers, and help them decide on their products and services, as well as what approach they will take.

Alain-Marc Chesnier, Head of Market Intelligence and Innovation at MMA.
  • Les 24 Heures du Mans: official partner of Les 24 Heures du Mans since 2019, MMA is also the famous car race’s “official insurer” until 2035. This partnership is the opportunity to continue to innovate and make the transition towards renewables, as well as setting up a track medical centre to improve course safety and provide rapid care for accident victims.

Local management of exceptional weather events

After an exceptional weather event such as flooding, storms or hail, MMA regularly provides emergency support to help policyholders cope with the situation as best possible:

  • Mobile units: MMA sets up advice points in trucks to be as close as possible to affected customers, anywhere in France;
  • Accident repair platforms: in the event of a localised hailstorm, MMA can set up temporary accident repair centres in less than a week for damaged vehicles in the affected area.
